Public Review and Comment Period

A Notice of Availability of the Draft EA has been published in the local newspaper (Yuma Sun) to initiate a 15-day public review and comment period. The public comment period runs from October 16 to October 31, 2026. The Draft EA is available for review on the project website at: www.MCASYumaEUL.com and at the following local libraries:

  • Yuma Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Dr., Yuma, AZ 85364
  • Brawley Public Library, 400 Main St. #1, Brawley, CA 92227
  • El Centro Public Library, 1198 N. Imperial Ave., El Centro, CA 92243

Draft EA Open House Meeting

The U.S. Marine Corps invites the public to attend an open house meeting to learn about the Proposed Action and environmental analysis. Project team members will be available at information stations to answer questions. The public may arrive at any time during the specified hours. There will not be a formal presentation. A Spanish-language fact sheet will be available. The public meeting will be held at the following time and location:

Tuesday, October 27, 2026, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

200 N. Madison Ave., Yuma, AZ 85364

The Draft EA is available for public review on the Documents page. All interested persons, agencies, and organizations are encouraged to attend the public meeting, review the Draft EA, and submit comments.

How to Submit Comments

The Marine Corps is accepting written comments on the Draft EA during the 15-day public comment period from October 16 to October 31, 2026. All comments must be postmarked or submitted by October 31, 2026, to be considered in the development of the Final EA. The public may submit comments in one of the following ways:
